He said filling up of self-declaration forms at these camps by tourists and travellers is mandatory.

The screening camps will be equipped with doctors, technical staff with protection gear, testing equipments and other requisite materials.

The Divisional Commissioner issued these directions while chairing a meeting convened to review preventive measures for COVID-19 with stake holders of Tourism and Transport industries.

The Div Com asked hoteliers and transporters to share real time information of such tourists or passengers who are found symptomatic to the control room numbers or nearby health institutions, which shall pick the patients for quarantine at isolation wards. Hoteliers were also directed to maintain records of domestic and foreign tourists.

The associations will in-turn distribute these pamphlets to the people at hotels, restaurants, tea stalls, bus stops, terminals, buses, cabs and tourist places for mass awareness.
