Pending inquiry, Govt suspends Astt Director FCS & CA Baramulla as 633 quintals of rice go missing

Jammu: Pending Inquiry the Government on Thursday suspended Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) days after reports about missing of 633 quintals of rice appeared in several Srinagar based newspapers.
The Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs(FCS&CA), in an order issued on Thursday suspended Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Mushtaq Ahmad Wani against whom inquiry is pending in a case related to missing of 633 quintals of rice reported few days back by several Srinagar based newspapers. In a separate order the Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) ordered the transfer of Assistant Direy(Supplies) Directorate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) and posted him Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Baramulla in place of Mushtaq Wani since placed under suspension.
