Srinagar, Mar 11: The Jammu and Kashmir government will clear the confusion over closure of schools within the municipal limits of Srinagar city triggered by an order issued by mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
Talking to Kashmir Horizon a top J&K government official said that confusion will be cleared over the closure of schools in Srinagar Municipal limits announced by mayor SMC by evening today.
As reported already SMC mayor Junaid Azim Matoo in a tweet said that schools, sports clubs and coaching centres within the municipal limits of Srinagar city shall remain closed from tomorrow as part of the measures taken to tackle spread of corona virus in the city.
He also uploaded an order issued from his office in this connection. However Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan has questioned the authority of SMC mayor to close down schools as he said that the authority to take such a decision is vested with the government only.
