Srinagar : A truck driver was on Monday killed after a live High Tension (HT) line fell on his vehicle he was driving near Bud Brath locality of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district .
Reports said a truck driver was killed while the conductor of the vehicle was injured after live HT line fell on their vehicle near Bud Brath village.
An official confirming the incident said that four persons were travelling in the truck when the live HT line came in contact with the vehicle. “The incident resulted in the on spot death of the driver while conductor got injured. Two other persons travelling in the vehicle escaped unhurt,” he said.
He identified the deceased as Waheed Ahmad (35) son of Khazir Mohammad Lone of Zaloora Sopore. The injured conductor has been identified as Gulzar Ahmad son of Abdul Aziz Lone of Zaloora Sopore. He has been shifted to SDH Sopore for treatment
