Jammu: Justice (Retd.) MK Hanjura, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Law Commission met Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here Friday.
The Chairperson and the Lt Governor discussed wide ranging issues pertaining to the functioning of the J&K Law Commission. He apprised the Lt Governor about the status of the identification and purge of obsolete and redundant laws.
Further, various issues relating to the effective functioning of the judicial system were also discussed and the Lt Governor laid stress on utilizing the mandate of the Law Commission in every possible way for securing quick and fair justice to the aggrieved.
