High Powered committee to recommend promotions in PDD’s Electrical, Civil and Mechanical wings

Jammu: The Jammu & Kashmir Government on Tuesday constituted a high powered committee for recommending promotions of the officers in the Electrical,Civil and Mechanical wings of the Power Development Department.
According to an order issued from the General Administration Department (GAD) the committee has been authorized to recommend promotion of the officers in the Electrical, Civil , and Mechanical wings of the Power Development Department at Assistant Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer, Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineers level as have been placed on in charge basis from time to time up to 31.08.2019 as a one time exception without reference of their cases to the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission. The Committee shall also recommend promotion and regularization of the officers at Assistant Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer, Executive Engineer and Superintending Engineers level on the basis of eligibility in terms of Jammu and Kashmir Engineering (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 1978 of the Public Works (R&B) Department as amended from time to time, the seniority , the Integrity and the work and conduct along with APRs in relation with the vigilance status. The Committee has been asked to complete its exercise within a period of two months and Power Development Department shall, thereafter, place the recommendations before the Establishment-cum-Selection Committee.
The committee will be headed by Administrative Secretary power Development Department and those appointed members of the committee include Special Secretary to the Government, Power Development Department , Development Commissioner (Power), Director Finance, Power Development Department , a representative of GAD (not below the : Member rank of Additional Secretary to the Government), Additional Secretary to the Government (HRM Section), Power Development Department , Representative of Department of Law, lustice and Parliamentary Affairs (not below the rank of Additional Secretary to the Government.
