Police books 2 persons for provocative speeches in Ganderbal

Srinagar: Police on Monday filed a charge sheet against two persons for allegedly giving provocative speeches in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal.

 A police spokesperson on Monday said that police presented a charge sheet against two accused, identified as Mohammad Rafiq Shah, resident of Shuhama, Ganderbal and Bashir Ahmad Lone, resident of Brain Nishat for their provocative speech at Chunduna Ganderbal.

“In year 2018, both the accused delivered a provocative speech on the funeral of killed militant Mohammad Rafiq Bhat at Chunduna Ganderbal,” he said.

Accordingly, he said a case was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was initiated in the matter. “During the course of investigation, police collected all the evidences regarding the case and subsequently arrested both the accused persons involved in the crime,” he said.

He said police today presented charge sheet against 02 accused before the Court.
