Srinagar: Government Forces arrested five persons during nocturnal raids in Ratnipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Sources told Kashmir News Trust that police after arresting a youth, conducted these raids and detained four more persons for questioning. Police believes, these youth are militant sympathizers, a claim refuted by the families of these youth.
Sources identified the arrested youth as Mehrajuddin, a shopkeeper, Inayat Gulzar, Aqib Ahmed, both students, Shakir Ahmed, an auto-driver and Naseer Ahmed.
Family members of Aqib Ahmed said that he was scheduled to appear in BSc Nursing examination, but due to detention, he missed the paper.
Police sources said that these youth have been picked up for questioning. (KNT)
