Jammu: Ahead of US President Donald Trump’s visit to India, security has been tightened along the Indo-Pakistan border in Jammu.
While the BSF is keeping an eye on every nefarious conspiracy and movement of the enemy, the army has also conducted a patrolling and search operation in the border areas.
According to security agencies, before Mr Trump’s visit to India, Pakistan may try to push infiltrators in this side from international border and the Line of Control and the army has made preparations in view of the possible threat of infiltration.
Official sources said that vigilance has been enhanced in every way on the international border while the army has extended surveillance to the BSF to increase the patrolling of soldiers along the 200-km long stretch of border and also to monitor every nefarious plot from across the border.
The Indian Army personnel are not only patrolling day and night in the border areas, but also checking the vehicles by raising special checkpoints, carrying out search operations in sensitive areas and along river belt locations.
In fact, prior to this visit, security forces have taken stock of security on the existing conditions on the India-Pakistan International Border and LoC, after which the grid of security on the border has been strengthened in view of the existing conditions, they said.
Defence sources said that they are capable of carrying out any action on the border all activities are being monitored.
