Srinagar: Expressing his serious concern over the prevailing grim unemployment problem in the state, Chairman, Peoples’ Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen Saturday sought the intervention of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for grant of a special employment package earnestly to secure the future of thousands of jobless youth. He has also urged the L G,G C Murmu to fill up about 80,ooo existing vacancies in various state government departments on fast track basis.
In a statement issued today, Hakeem Yaseen has said addressing the burgeoning unemployment problem in the state was the first priority which should be followed by satiating the genuine socio- political aspirations of the people. He has urged the need to fill about 80,ooo existing vacancies in various government and semi government departments on war footing basis besides announcing a special employment package for the unemployment youth.
Hakeem has also demanded restoration of the state hood to Jammu and Kashmir besides guarantee to the domicile rights of the people. “Union government should immediately fulllfill it’s assurances with respect to restoration of state hood to the state and gauranteees to the domicile rights of its people earnestly,” Hakeem Yaseen added. PDF Chairman also urged the Centre to expedite completion of various languishing developmental projects in the state adding that the assurances given by various Union Ministers during thier recent public outreach visits to the state are yet to be fulfilled.
