J&K Bank continues its financial literacy campaign in Jammu, Kashmir

Jammu:   Taking the financial literacy campaign within the J&K to its crescendo, the bank conducted awareness camps across the region during the last few weeks. The latest camps were held in Pancheri, Lander areas of Udhampur, Khara Balli in Jammu, business school in Jammu University, Khonmoh and Industrial Estate in Zakura Srinagar.

The educative camps, attended by valuable customers, farmers, businessman and senior citizens in Udhampur, were chaired by Zonal Head Udhampur Sushil Kumar Gupta in presence of Cluster Head, Heads BU’s Pancheri and Lander.

Zonal Head appraised the gathering at both the places about the benefits of national security schemes and the drive launched by Govt of India to cover all the PM-Kissan beneficiaries under the KCC scheme.  Further he appealed all the PM-KISAN beneficiaries to approach bank branch where they have PM-KISAN Account, for availing benefit of KCC and any other necessary information in this regard.

He also distributed Kissan credit cards to the eligible famers and issued cheques to the various women working under different Self-help groups through credit linkage scheme.

The Bank also conducted a seminar on Digital Awareness at the Business School in Jammu University, which was organized by the Bank’s New University Campus business unit in collaboration with teams from Digital Strategy & Marketing Department and J&K Bank Financial Services Department Zonal Office Jammu Central-I. Also in collaboration with the bank’s Khour business unit, the teams from Zonal Office Central-I also held a financial literacy camp for the customers Khara Balli regarding various Banking services & Digital products offered by J&K Bank

At these camps, the officials informed the audiences about the benefits of digital banking and cash less economy besides educating them about new technologies available in the Bank such as Debit card, Credit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, IMPS, BHIM UPI, PoS etc. The team also spread awareness regarding prevention of various frauds such as Phishing, Vishing, Smishing, Whaling etc related to Digital Banking to secure their online transactions.

The team from J&K Bank Financial Services educated the gathering about the benefits of various financial services offered by the bank.

Meanwhile, the camps organized at Khonmoh was attended by a good number of participants including entrepreneurs, educated youth and small businessmen of the area; while as the special awareness camp organized by FLCC Srinagar in coordination with the Bank’s Zakura business unit and Association of Industrialists at Industrial Estate Zakura.

The camp, attended by large number of participants mostly MSME unit holders from the Industrial Estate Zakura, focused on the needs and the demands of the MSME unit holders and dwelt in detail upon the most suited products of the bank tailor-made for the MSME unit holders of the rea. Director RSETI Srinagar was also present on the occasion.
