2 FCS&CA officials suspended for misappropriation in rations in Budgam areas

Srinagar: Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Kashmir (FCS&CA) has placed two officials under suspension on charges of misappropriation in the supply of rations in areas of Budgam district and withheld the salary of one Tehsil Supplies Officer (TSO) for the month of February. An inquiry has been ordered into the misappropriation of rations against the officials with the direction that official shall remain attached with the office of Assistant Director Supplies at the directorate. The supply of a fair price shopper of Narakara Budgam has been also suspended till the completion of the inquiry by Assistant Director FSC&CA Budgam.
According to an order issued by the Director Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) a copy of which lies with the Kashmir Horizon the Assistant Storekeeper Narakara ration depot Sameer-Ul-Rehman and Fayaz Ahmad incharge depot assistant have been placed under suspension and salary of tehsil supplies officer (TSO) Bashir Ahmad War has been kept withheld for the month of February for the lack of supervision. The officials, according to the order, have been attached with the office of Assistant Director Supplies.
The Assistant Director Supplies has been also directed to hold in-depth inquiry into the charges of overcharging by the officials and the fair price shoppers in Narkara Budgam and adjoining locations of Ompora housing colony and the supply of ration to the concerned fair price shopper namely Tariq Ahmad has been suspended till the completion of the inquiry. When contacted Assistant Director Supplies Tariq Ahmad told Kashmir Horizon over phone “ the inquiry is in progress. The relevant records are already available with us and we are receiving feed back from the general public in the concerned areas. In a day or two inquiry will be completed and submitted to Director FCS & CA (Kashmir)”. Interestingly Bashir Ahmad War designated as tehsil supplies officer of Budgam “A circle” is factually holding the position of assistant store keeper but is presently holding the key positions of store keeper in private godown(peg) Budgam and tehsil supplies officer in Budgam A circle.
