SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting here to discuss various issues related to district Budgam.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Director Urban Local Bodies (ULB), Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, Joint Commissioner, SMC, Chief Engineer PHE, Chief Engineer PDD, Project Manager Kashmir ERA, Exn City drainage, Xen, Projects PDD and other concerned officials.
Div Com took comprehensive review of various ongoing and projects.
The meeting was informed that for the construction of drain from FCI godown Ompora to main road of Budgam and Srinagar tendering process is being finalized.
While reviewing the supply of drinking water in the areas being catered by Sukhnag water supply scheme, it was informed that for the villages at the tail water supply will be augmented by digging bore wells besides pressing into water tankers service as an interim relief till the scheme is completed.
District Administration Budgam was directed to identify the spots for the construction of the bore wells.
The meeting also held a threadbare discussion regarding the completion of work on electricity receiving station at Humhama for which tenders have been issued.
The Div Com directed the District Administration to rope in Local Bodies for undertaking sanitation programs at various villages.
