BJP hands over “Tiranga” to its Councillors, Sarpanches, Panches for I-Day celebrations in Jammu

Jammu/Aug,10: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will celebrate this Independence Day up to every Panchayat level with great pomp and show. This was disclosed by party State president Ravinder Raina while interacting with the Sarpanches and Panches at party headquarters Trikuta Nagar here, Saturday.
BJP State general secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, party State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi and Sarpanch Anil Sharma also addressed the meeting. The meeting with Sarpanches and Panches was preceded by a meeting of Councillors which among others was addressed by State general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul, former DyCM, Kavinder Gupta, party State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, Dy. Mayor, Purnima Sharma, chairman, Baldev Singh Billawaria.
Ravinder Raina, while interacting with the Sarpanches and Panches appreciated their spirit and role in the upkeep of the democracy in the region. He said that these brave hearts faced ultimate threats in the past to keep alive the humanity in the remotest of the regions. He said that the people are rejoicing the decision of abrogation of draconian law that assaulted the very basic rights of masses in the State. “And we must all celebrate this occasion up to the very local level’’.
While declaring that BJP’s activists will celebrate the historic decision up to every local level, he prompted the BJP leaders to celebrate the day with great pomp and show at every Panchayat, Ward and Mohalla level.
Ashok Kaul, while addressing the meetings, said that the every resident of Jammu & Kashmir must celebrate the abrogation of Article 370. He termed it as the victory of the common masses as now they can enjoy all the equal opportunities at par with other cities of the nation. He also emphasized that this decision has given basic rights to the Valmiki Samaj, given rights to the daughters of the State and opened up the development avenues for the State youth.
He also said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi also admired the role of Sarpanches, Panches, while all other major political parties boycotted the elections and this move has empowered the Panchayats also.
Kavinder Gupta, in his address, said that Article posed lot of threat to the national integration and always served the promotion of alienation among the particular section of the society. He said that BJP has fulfilled its poll promise within days of initiating its term-II. He said that the BJP has proved, that it is committed to serve people at every cost, while keeping itself focussed on “nation first”
Yudhvir Sethi, in his address, said that abrogation of Article 370 was being stressed by party since long, as the Article acted as a tool of oppression on lakhs of people residing in the State.
