Drug Control team books 4 Retail Sale Outlets, suspends Medical license

Kathua: A team of Drug Control Officers under the supervision of Assistant Drugs Controller, Rajesh Anguralla, conducted an inspection drive in various Retail Sale Outlets and Medical shops to ensure that Conditions of Licenses are being followed by the License Holders strictly.
During the drive, Operations of four Retail Sale Outlets were disallowed under Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 for committing breaches of the provisions of Drugs & Cosmetics Act, 1940 & rules there-under. The outlets booked were M/s Rishi Medicos, Hatli Morh, M/s Maa Durga Medical Hall, Logate Morh, M/s Sudan Medicos, Dhere, Phinter, Billawar, M/s Jagdambay Health Care, Ramkot.
Besides, the team found an unlicensed shop in operation at Ward No. 12, Parliwand, Kathua that was being run by Akshay Baru S/o Ramesh Chander and confiscated their stocks and initiated action under rules against the defaulter.
Moreover, License of M/s Pushpa Medical Hall, Bagga Morh, R.S Pura have also been suspended by the Licensing Authority (EML) Jammu following reports of confiscation of intoxicant drugs from the possession of Proprietor of the firm.
The State Drug Controller has impressed upon the Trade Fraternity to dispense drugs comprising habit forming ingredients strictly under rules to the needy patients only, failing which action as contemplated under relevant provisions shall be initiated against the defaulters.
