Srinagar:The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) Thursday issued a notice to Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) here, asking the corporation to come up with the report over procedure to prevent inundation in Srinagar.
According to a statement issued to KNO, the notice was issued following a petition was filed in this regard by Chairman International Forum for Justice Human Rights JK Ahsan Untoo.
According to the notice, the SHRC member Jung Bahadur Singh Jamwal has asked the Corporation’s officer to submit reply immediately. The petition was filed by the petitioner after the Srinagar was inundated for the second time in the recent past due to fresh rainfall.(KNO)
