Srinagar:The government forces on Thursday claimed to have arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant from Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday evening.
Police officials told KNO that a naka was laid by the Budgam Police at Qazipora area of the district following the tip-off about the movement of some militants in the area.
“During the checking, one militant has been apprehended along with arms and ammunition, the officials told KNO. Officials identified the militant as Showkat Ahmad Tantary of Warpora DH Pora Kulgam.
They said that police has registered a case FIR number 137/2019 under relevant sections of law at PS Chadoora in the matter, adding that further investigation is going on. (KNO)
