Rape accused sent to 10 year sentence in Anantnag

Anantnag: A local court in this south Kashmir on Wednesday sentenced a rape convict to ten year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000.
A police spokesman said that court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Anantnag Khaleel Ahmad Chowdhary on Wednesday
Sentenced Ishfaq Ahmad Khan, son of Mohammad Afzal Khan, resident of Kehribal, Anantnag to 10 year imprisonment for raping a nine-year-old girl of same village during the intervening night of January 6 and 7 in 2017.
The court after hearing arguments from both sides pronounced the judgment.
An FIR in this context was lodged by the father of the victim on January 7, 2017under Section 376 Clause 02 Sub Clause RPC, spokesman said.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 50000  and in case of default the convict has to undergo further six month imprisonment.
