Srinagar : Army on Wednesday afternoon resorted to aerial firing after forces allegedly thrashed few civilians, which was resisted by locals in Arihal village of Pulwama.
Official sources told KNO that Army was asking locals to keep roadsides clear to prevent plant of IED blasts. “They asked few youth to clear road to which youth resisted,” the officials told KNO.
He said the move triggered war of words between youth and forces following which forces resorted to thrash the youth. In wake of this, locals staged protest and started pelting stones on forces to which forces resorted to aerial firing to disperse the protestors.
