PLS, PSS condole the demise of Writer, Broadcaster Chhatarpal

Jammu : Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (Regd.), Jammu and Punjabi Sahitik Sabha (PSS), R S Pura jointly organized a condolence meeting at Tagore Public Hr. Secondary School, Rani Bagh, Digiana, Jammu to condole the sudden demise of Sh. Chhatarpal Veteran Writer, Radio and TV Broadcaster. S. Amar Singh Kuka, a Punjabi Ghazal poet & acting President of Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Jammu presided over the meeting. Writers and poets of Punjabi attended the meeting and presented their tributes to Chhatarpal. S. Amar Singh Kuka expressed his condolences and said that the sudden death of Sh. Chhatarpal has sent a shocking wave among intellectuals. he said that his valuable contribution would prove to help the coming generation and it would gain a lot if followed his footsteps.
S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, senior writer & former President, PLS in his dedications said that the contribution of Sh. Chhatarpal in promoting Dogri literature and culture would be remembered far a long time. he said that he was a very nice human being and dealt with all others with a humane touch. S. Harjit Singh Uppal, President, Punjabi Sahitik Sabha, R S Pura appreciated the role of Chhatarpal in the field of Dogri literature, broadcasting and other cultural aspects of Dogra culture. he said that his whole life was dedicated to these activities throughout his life. Paying his tributes S. Jang S. Verman, senior artist & writer said that he had enough time to share with Sh. Chhatarpal and know his approaches in creative fields. He said that above all he was an excellent human being along with having the good qualities of a Dogri writer, broadcaster and a media person who also has been the President of Dogri Sanstha, Jammu. he added that his meritorious contribution will be appreciated by one & all. It may be mentioned here that Sh. Chhatarpal was honoured by many organizations as an acknowledgement of his contribution in the field of Dogri literature and culture. A two minutes’ silence was observed to pat respect to Sh. Chhatarpal. the members prayed to God for the peace of the departed soul of the deceased and bless the family to bear the irreparable loss.
