Srinagar: As no one holds DDO powers vested with CEO Budgam presently on Hajj the Files of grad 2 teachers, G P Fund cases, and pending payments are gathering dust at CEO office Budgam
Sources while disclosing this to Kashmir Horizon revealed that as top authorities are yet to hand over the DDO powers of CEO Budgam presently on Hajj to some other competent officer to ensure timely disposal of the cases of urgent nature, the files of grade 2 teachers P Fund cases of the employees and other pending payments are gathering dust at district education office Budgam. It has been almost fifteen days now since the Chief Education Officer Budgam left for the Hajj pilgrimage, but the authorities are yet to delegate DDO powers to any other officer in absence of Chief Education Officer who has gone to Saudi Arabia for Hajj pilgrimage. While the files of Grade-2 teachers, GP Fund cases, and pending payments are piling up, the clearance of financial bills and disbursement of payment to employees and others has become a contentious issue at district education office Budgam. As the month too is in its slog week. the apprehensions of the employees that no salary would be disbursed to them on the eve of Eid Ul Adha early next month are brewing up. “We are neurotic and fearful about the fate of all the administration matters in general and financial issue in particular”, a group of aggrieved employees told Kashmir Horizon. Repeated attends to established contact with Deputy Commissioner Budgam failed as she did not pick up repeated calls from Kashmir Horizon office.
