Landslides triggered by rains hit to death old aged woman in Doda district

Jammu /July, 27: Landslides triggered by incessant rains hit to deaths an Old age women was killed and injured her son in Baggar village of Doda district.Landslides also hit to death 25 animals.
Reports said landslides triggered by overnight rains led to collapse of a mud house at around 6.00 a.m Saturday morning and consequently an old aged woman and her son were injured. “Before the officers of the district administration would reach the trouble spot the locals launched rescue operation and shifted both the injured Primary Health Centre Assar for first aid,from where they were referred to GMC&H Doda for specialized treatment’,said the witnesses, adding that ‘the injured woman identified as Acher Devi died in hospital & her son Mishar Das from Baggar is still battling for life in hospital’ Twenty five domestic animals also died in the incident.
