Jammu: A Mega plantation drive was organized by the State Forest Research Institute (SFRI) Wednesday here at Government High School Hamirpur Sidhar and Panchayat Garh Pallanwalla Tehsil Khour.
Held under the guidance of Director SFRI J&K O.P Sharma, the event was attended by Jitendra Kumar Singh, Conservator of Forests, Research Circle, Jammu, Neha Mehta, Divisional Forest Officer, Research Forest Division Jammu and Shweta Deonia, Divisional Forest Officer, Seed Development Division, Jammu, Geeta Sarpanch Pallanwala, Panchs of Pallanwala and Hamirpur, local farmers, School students, and other forest officials.
On the occasion, plants were also distributed among the farmers & locals to promote Farm Forestry and Agro-Forestry.
