Kupwara : Commissioner Secretary Public Works Department (R&B) Khursheed Ahmad Shah Tuesday visited frontier district Kupwara and inaugurated various development projects in presence of District Development Commissioner Anshul Garg and Chief Engineer Sani Arif Yasvi.
The projects inaugurated by the Commissioner Secretary include steel decked Bridge at Bus Adda Kralpora constructed at a cost of Rs.91.61 lakh, Rest House at Reddi Panzgam completed at a cost of Rs 56.22 lakh and Rs 93.06 lakh single-lane steel Bridge at Dobwan Kachama.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary said the Government is committed to ensure over all development of the state at grassroots level adding that road connectivity plays a vital role in the socio-economic development especially in far-flung areas.
He stressed upon the concerned engineers to expedite the work on other ongoing development projects in the district for their completion within the stipulated time frame.
The Commissioner Secretary also urged the people to avail grievance redressal mechanism of the government for projecting their developmental needs and other issues.
