Baramulla: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo Friday chaired a meeting here to review the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme in Baramulla district.
Chief Agriculture Officer Baramulla informed the meeting that about Rs 13.94 crore have been disbursed among Small and Marginal Farmers who are owning cultivable land upto 2 hectares. Elaborating the details, he said about 90047 beneficiaries have been identified and the data of 68905 farmers has been uploaded on the requisite platform. He also said 2nd instalment has also been disbursed among 32372 farmers till date.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC impressed upon the concerned officers to properly identify the beneficiaries so that no deserving is left behind. He said the scope of the scheme has been extended and the medium farmers, owning more than 2 hectares of cultivable land, have also been included into its ambit. He directed the concerned officers to accelerate the scrutiny process so that the leftover beneficiaries are registered in a time-bound manner.
SSP Baramulla, ADC, ACR, CAO, CHO, SDM Uri, Pattan, Youth Service & Sports Officer beside other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
