Multilingual Mushaira organized by ‘Dhaga: Vimarsh Ka Manch’

Jammu: A multilingual Mushaira was organized today at K L Saigal Hall, Jammu by Raipur (Chhatishgarh) based organization ‘Dhaga: Vimarsh Ka Manch’. Sh. Jang S. Verman, senior artist, columnist on art & culture and poet was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages presided over the function. Smt. Neeru Sharma, former Editor, Sheeraza hindi & well known writer, S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, former President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha & writer and S. Bhupinder Singh Raina, novelist & playwright were the special guests on this occasion.
Smt. Ropinder Raj, coordinator of the programme welcomed the guests and elaborated on the objectives & activities of the organization.
Multilingual Mushaira was conducted where Poets of Dogri, Hindi and Punjabi recited their poetry in the Mushaira. the poets who recied their poetry included Balwinder Singh Deep, Swami Antar Nirav, Harjit Singh Uppal, Amar Singh Kuka, Devinder Singh vishavnagrik and Jang S. Verman (Punjabi), Balkar Singh, Naresh Kumar Khajuria, Kumar Krishen, Anu Attri, Varun Veer, Bhagwati Devi , Bhupinder Singh Raina and Harmeet (Hindi), Rattan Bhardwaj, Neelam Verma, Rekha Thakur, Neelu Thapa, Dheeraj Khanna (Dogri) and Pyasa Anjum and Arsh Sehbai (Urdu).
Speaking on this occasion Dr. Arvinder Singh An in his presidential address appreciated that many family members of Raina family are engaged in creative writing field. He appreciated that he has been reading the plays and novels written by Bhupinder Singh Raina. He hoped that the organization would organize more such events in Jammu from time to time. Jang S. Verman, S. Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik and Smt. Neeru Sharma also expressed their views.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Swamy Antar Neerav. Smt. Ropinder Raj extended the vote of thanks.
