JK’s prominent Social Activist Tarun Uppal conferred Maharashtra Ratangaurav Puraskar

Jammu: Social activist and son of the soil, Tarun Uppal conferred Best Youth Icon Award 2019 in a function held at Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Sanskrutik Kala Rangmandir, Pune.
The award ceremony was organised by Vishal Gore, Founder Shalini Foundation in collaboration with Human Rights Council of India.
People from different spectrums like actors, social workers, politicians and singers witnessed the event. Several prominent people of Maharashtra were also present.
Tarun Uppal was nominated for his excellence in the field of social work and youth empowerment as he had been serving the society from the last so many years and has worked in many states of nation for the welfare of common masses. He has also promoted the youth of his native State to compete on the national as well as international platforms.
Uppal, while receiving an award, said “It’s a great achievement for me for getting such a prestigious award and give credit to those who helped him in all the ways in his journey of social service.”
Pertinent to mention here that Tarun Uppal has intensified its drive against anti-drugs to impart awareness among people on the disastrous effect of intoxication from drugs on individual and society’s health.
Uppal said that there are unscrupulous elements involved in this heinous crime of drugs smuggling in the State. He sought cooperation of every section of the society to liberate younger generation from drug addiction. He also appealed to the youth to shun the path of drugs and channelize their energies towards nation building.
In the last, Uppal assured that he will continue his fight against the drugs and his journey in serving the common and needy people.
