Yasin Malik remanded till 07 August by NIA court in Delhi: JKLF

Srinagar: Incarcerated chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik was Monday presented before a special NIA court in Delhi and the court has yet again remanded him to one month judicial custody, a spokesman said on Monday.
In a statement issued here on Monday a spokesman of JKLF said that Malik will be again presented before the said court on 7th August 2019, stating that ailing Malik has been shifted back to Tihar Jail after court hearing.
Meanwhile, with the anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani and others who became victims of pellets in 2016, 2017, 2018 and the ongoing year, JKLF acting chairman Abdul Hamid Butt said that “Burhan Wani and other are victims of Indian undemocratic hegemony which has and is choking every little political space on Kashmiris thus pushing the youth of this land to the wall.”
He said that “on 8th July 2016, forces killed Burhan Wani in custody and immediately after his killing almost the whole leadership including JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik were arrested or house arrested by police.”
“On the second day of Burhan’s killing, it was forces that opened the mouths of their guns and pellet guns, killing dozens and injuring hundreds. This unprovoked state sponsored violence resulted in peoples agitation during which Indians killed hundreds of innocents, snatched eyesight’s of hundreds and inflicted injuries on thousands of Kashmiris. Not only this, but thousands of young and old were arrested, tortured and tormented during this period,” he said.
