Srinagar: Reacting to reports that eight MLAs of JD(S)-Congress government are reaching to Karnataka Assembly Speaker’s office to tender their resignations, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that it looks like it is curtains for another non-BJP government.
Mr Abdullah, who is the Vice President of National Conference (NC), said he can’t say that it was not expected.
“Looks like it’s curtains for another non-BJP state government. Can’t say this wasn’t expected. Most observers saw this coming a mile away,” Ms Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Three JD(S) MLAs and five Congress MLAs have reportedly reached Karnataka Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar’s office on Saturday afternoon to offer their resignation.
