Ganderbal : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Hashmat Ali Khan Saturday reviewed the progress of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogi Yojna (PMJAY) and Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KSN) Yojana here at twin meetings.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, Shafqat Iqbal, ADC, Showkat Ahmad, ACR Ganderbal, Nisar Ahmad Malik, CPO, Anika Mushtaq, CMO Ganderbal, and other concerned officers.
Threadbare discussions with regard to progress awareness, mobilization and identifications of beneficiaries, registration and other related issues were held in the meeting.
On the onset of meeting, CMO Ganderbal briefed the meeting about the significance of scheme and total beneficiaries covered under the scheme in district.
During the meeting, the CMO informed that several deserving households are not registered in the scheme besides several beneficiaries remain untraced.
To trace out such households, the DDC directed the CMO to mobilize field functionaries besides organize camps in every village for the registration of beneficiaries to ensure that the target is achieved within the stipulated time frame.
The CMO was asked to submit a progress report under the scheme on regular basis to the DC Office.
The DDC stressed the officers to accelerate the process so that the poor and deserving households can get benefit from the scheme.
In another meeting, implementation, issues and progress under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KSN) Yojana was discussed.
During the meeting a detailed discussion was held on various aspects of the scheme regarding revised guidelines, uploading of beneficiaries’ data, preparation of a list of exclusive categories, activation of beneficiaries’ accounts, collection of Data and organization of awareness camps etc.
Under PM-KISAN, all landholding farmer families, having cultivable land, will be provided direct income support at the rate of Rs. 6,000 per year. This income support will be transferred directly into their bank accounts in three equal instalments of Rs. 2,000 each, he added.
During the meeting, the DDC urged the concerned officials to expedite the process of collection of data of left out farmers and upload it on the portal after verification so that entire data of farmers is uploaded; besides scheme is effectively implemented at grass root level in the district.
