Authorities impose fine of Rs 69000 on errant traders

Srinagar : The Court of Adjudication officer (Additional Deputy Commissioner) imposed a fine of Rs 69000 on six food business operators for violating hygienic and sanitary requirements of Food Safety and Standards Act.
Among the fined include canteen contractor of SMHS hospital, four bakers and a confectionery manufacturer.
A fresh drive has been initiated against food business operators particularly nanwaies, chicken sellers and butchers.
