BJP forms volunteer team to help Amarnath pilgrims

Srinagar: The state unit of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed about a dozen volunteer teams to be stationed on both shortest Baltal and traditional Pahalgam tracks to help pilgrims undertaking the yatra to holy Amarnath cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, which has commenced from July Ist and will conclude on August 15.
Teams will remain available 24X7 from today on both Baltal and Pahalgam routes. Teams will provide assistance to the Yatris immediately after entering into the Kashmir Valley.
“These teams (party workers) will work 24 hours during the Yatra period for providing any kind of assistance or help to Yatris as well as people associated with the Yatra., Manzoor Bhat, BJP Media In charge Kashmir said.
Bhat said the party workers from Kashmir would maintain the spirit of brotherhood that Kashmiris are practicing since centuries. “These workers have voluntarily registered their names to help Yatris,” he added.
