3 killed, 4 injured in road accident in Samba area

Jammu/July, 2 : Three persons were Tuesday morning killed and four others critically injured when a van rammed into an army vehicle in Ghagwal area of Samba district of Jammu province .

A police official said a van (JK 21 C-2944) on way from Samba to Ghagwal rammed into the back side of an army vehicle on the highway at Sandh Bari, resulting into on spot death of three persons.

The deceased were identified as Sunita Rani wife of Ashwani Kumar resident of Chak Dulma, Gopi Krishan son of Som Dutt resident of Badyal, and Harsh Bardan son of Bishan Dass resident of Badyal.

Four others who got injured in the accident include Renu Sharma wife of Asha Ram resident of Badyal, Shammi son of Des Raj resident of Nadala, Asha Ram son of Som Dutt resident of Badyal and one-year old Taksh son of Ashwani Kumar resident of Badyal.

The police have taken cognizance of the incident.
