Srinagar /June, 30 : A militant was on Sunday morning killed in an ongoing gunfight that broke out after a cordon and search operation was launched in the late evening hours on Saturday jointly by sleuths of 53 RR and Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bugam village of Chadoora area in central Kashmir’s Budgam district .
Officials said “one militant has been killed in the gunfight that broke out on Sunday in the wee hours”, adding that ” the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained”.
Reports emanating from the area said two to three militants are believed to be trapped in the area, said the reports emanating from the area.
