2 militants, army man killed in a gunfight in in Anantnag’s Marhama Bijbehara

Anantnag/ June 1,8 :Two militants and an army man were on Tuesday morning killed in an ongoing gunfight between government forces and militants in Marhama Sangam village in Bijbehara area in South kashmir’s Anantnag district.
A police official said ” a joint team of 3 RR and SOG launched a cordon and search operation in the area during which the hiding militants fired on the sleuths of 3RR and SOG prompting them to retaliate. Two militants and an army mean were  killed in the exchange of fire and the operation is continuing in the area”.,adding that” the identity of slain militants is yet to be ascertained. Reports emanating from the area said that the slain militants are believed to be locals belonging to Jaish Mohammad outfit. An army man was also killed while two others were injured during exchange of fire, the official said.
