World Cup: Jammu Admn takes preventive measure ahead of India-Pak clash

Jammu: The District Administration Jammu on Sunday took preventive measures and ordered deployment of special officers as preventive measure ahead of India-Pakistan clash in the World Cup 2019 being played in London.
“Police have been deployed besides the administrative officers have also been asked to stay vigilant to prevent law and order problem in the sensitive areas of Jammu district,” Ramesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Jammu here told UNI.
The DC added that police personnel have been asked remain alert and preventive measures are taken in order to maintain law and order problem and to avoid any untoward incident.
“We have taken the step as preventive measure,’’ a police officer added.
He said that cricket fans especially the youth, take out rallies amid shouts, which can create trouble and to prevent it, the deployment of officers has been made in and around the district.
However, many clubs, restaurants, hotels have made special arrangements for the views by installing large screens in their premises to entertain them besides offering special discounts on food items and drinks.
