Srinagar: The Patiala House Court on Friday sent Hurriyat leader Shabir Shah, Masarat Alam and Asiya Andrabi to judicial custody till July 12 in connection with the funding case involving 26/11 Mumbai attack Hafiz Saeed.
Reports said that the additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Anil Antil sent the trio to judicial custody till July 12 after the NIA did not seek their custody.
NIA investigation has established that Aasiya Andrabi who is heading Dukhtaran-E-Millat as its Chief has used social media and other platforms to abet waging of war against the Indian government.
Meanwhile, Muslim League spokesperson in a statement issued on Friday said that the Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Anil Antil sent the trio to judicial custody till July 12 after the NIA did not seek their custody.
He said that Masrat Alam is behind bars continuously for the last 9 years, during which judicial houses itself have quashed his detention 37 times, “but rulers under the intoxication of the arrogance of their power and might have disobeyed the court orders.”
According to a statement of ML Spokesperson, “Authorities are detaining him under PSAs on frivolous charges, one after another, just to victimize him. It is the worst demonstration of political vendetta”. 38th PSA on Masrat Aalam in a row and now sending him to NIA custody in connection with fabricated charges is worst kind of state sponsored terrorism.
