RAMBAN: Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Jammu Dhananter Singh inaugurated a medical-cum-awareness camp for drivers and conductors here Tuesday.
On the occasion, RTO Jammu stressed upon the transporters, drivers and conductors to follow Motor Vehicle Rules and to ensure the safety of commuters.
He highlighted the pivotal role of civil society in implementing road safety measures. He stated that such camps will be conducted in every district to create awareness about road safety measures.
Earlier, RTO Jammu along with ARTO Udhampur Rachana Sharma and other Motor Vehicle Inspectors laid special nakas at Udhampur and Chenani to check Motor Vehicles Act violations.
The RTO also conducted an extensive tour of Udhampur and Chenani and booked various matadors and other vehicles for traffic violations.
