Srinagar/June,11: The Indian Red Cross Society, J&K State Branch kickstarted a 3-day Basic First Aid Methodology Training program for the 44BN of Central Reserve Police Force, HMT Complex, Zainakote, Srinagar. The training program was inaugurated by Amit Sharma, Dy. Commandant, 44 BN in presence of Dr. Hamid, Medical Officer, 115 BN. iInteracting with the CRPF men Sharma highlighted the selfless services extended by the forces in maintaining peace and harmony throughout the country. and stressed that to learn first aid techniques is the need of the hour. This batch is the 3rd group out of 150 CRPF men to be trained in First Aid who shall be deputed during annual amarnath yatra this year.
The objective of this training is to enhance the life saving skills among the CRPF ranks to act as First Medical responders in times of need during amarnath yatra and educate the yatris to make them more resilient to accidents. The aim of training is to reduce disaster risks and build resilient First Aiders force for CRPF in the valley.
The training is being imparted under the supervision Dr. Itinderpal Singh Bali, National level Master Trainer, Indian Red Cross Society with the team of Red Cross Kaiser Ali, Public Relations Manager, IRCS-J&K, Mudasir Maqbool, Sheikh Daniyal, and Hussain Trainers from IRCS-J&K State Branch.
