Kreeri: The Gram Sabha meeting of Panchayat Halqas Kreeri A and Kreeri B was on Thursday this week held in Panchayat Halqa Kreeri at Kreeri during which some key decisions including eviction of green belt (Kah Charai) land areas were taken.
The gram Sabha emphasised the need for eviction of green belt (Kah Charai) land areas and immediate ban on polythene in areas falling under Panchayat Halqas Kreeri A and Kreeri B. The people were urged not to throw garages at public places to ensure a clean environment in the Kreeri village. The Gram Sabha appealed District Development Commissioner Baramulla to allot land from the green belt (Kah Charai) areas for a sports ground in the village as a step to attract drug addict youth to sports and extra curricular activities saying that  government has brought Kreeri Panchayat Halqa A under the “Khelo India” Scheme. The Gram Sabha sought the attention of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla towards the fencing of Kreeri graveyard and demanded immediate release of funds for it.
