Seasonal defectors in the lap of BJP’s proxy

Whenever a new government takes over the reigns of power at the centre , the seasonal political defectors tend to take political asylum in the party in power at the centre or its affiliate in Kashmir and days before the oath taking ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the seasonal political defectors in large numbers have started taking political asylum in Sajad Lone led Peoples Conference the party which by virtue of its actions during the last four years and more so after the fall of Mehbooba government in the state has obviously become a proxy of BJP. The seasonal political defectors o mostly used to keep their association with the Congress party during the years Congress led UPA was in power at the centre but are now throwing their lot with the Peoples’ Conference only to keep themselves associated with a party which is overtly or covertly aligned with the ruling party at the centre. For Peoples Conference the defections of these seasonal political defectors may be an indication of changing political winds in Kashmir but for those keeping an eye on political scenario in Kashmir the inability of seasonal political defectors even to secure their deposits in previous elections is sufficient enough an indication of their irrelevance in any electoral contest at any level.
Keeping in view the failures of former ministers and legislators after their defections from their parent parties to Peoples Conference in the recently held parliamentary elections, it is proved beyond doubt that the seasonal political defectors known for their multiple defeats in last several electoral contests taking political asylum in Peoples Conference would prove liabilities but not assets for it. While working on building an alternative to traditional regional political parties National Conference and PDP with a commitment to wage a war against dynasty politics the Peoples Conference can’t find the poll scenario conducive enough to see its seasonal political defectors wining assembly elections the way it saw political non entities wining municipal and panchayat polls last year at the cost of low turnout and boycott by two largest regional political parties National Conference and PDP. The performers or non performers of the previous electoral contests would find all public connection routes blocked till they tend or try to be part of any BJP backed political combination in Kashmir.
