Jammu: A preview screening of Hindi feature film ‘Funtasiyan’ under the banner of ‘Harshdeep Films’ based in Jammu, was held among the select audience and guests at Sensorium of Ranjit College of Education, Kunjwani, Jammu on Saturday. Prominent artists, technicians, writers, film, TV and theatre personalities like Prof. Lailt Mangotra, Ravinder Kaul, Ashok Angurana, Manmeet Singh, Prof. Harbans Singh, Singh, Dr. Baljit Singh Raina, Prabhinder Lall, Jang S. Verman, Sapna Soni, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Romi Amrit, Bikramjit Vicky and others were present on this occasion.
The film is made mainly with the actors of the state like Dr. Baljit Raina, Sapna Soni, Rahul Sharma, Rajeshwar Singh Raju, Dinesh Dogra, Ritu Manhas, Parvez Mir, Aditya Bhanu, Neeraj Sethi, Raghunandan Bali, Ravinder Kaul, Ramesh Sharma, Daizy Bazaz, Lalita Tapasvi, Bikram Vicky, Jang S. Verman, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Shammi Malhotra, Rani Bhan and others. Andeep Kour , Sajan Kapoor (Amritsar) and Gurmeet Kaur (New Delhi) have also performed the roles in the movie. A good number of artists and technicians have proved to contribute to an extent in making a Funtasiyan’s execution possible.
The film is written, produced and directed by Dr. Baljit Singh Raina. He has also written lyrics for the movie. The music is given by Kuldeep Saproo (Jammu), Art Direction by Jang S. Verman and Chief Assistant Director of the film is Bikram Vicky.
The people who gave their expert opinions after the screening of the movie said that the film is executed in a professional level and lacks nowhere in comparison to the Holywood productions. They also appreciated the actors for their best performances in the movie. They also opined that the plot and sub- plots have been woven in a perfect manner and convey the main theme and sub- themes undertaken in the movie. They also appreciated that the themes of the movie interpret various aspects of complex issues of contemporary life.
The main theme of the film revolves around the struggle of actors in Bollywood. Slowly the under currents and the reality of the film world is exposed layer by layer.
