J&K State Yongmudo Referee Seminar-Cum-Training Course concludes in Srinagar

Srinagar: First time in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, a two day-long Yongmudo National Referee Seminar and training course was conducted successfully by Yongmudo Federation of India in collaboration with Yongmudo Association of J&K. The course which commenced on 1st June concluded Saturday at Islamia College of Commerce & Science Hawal, Srinagar. The sole motive behind organizing the seminar and the training camp was to aware and provide advanced knowledge, new rules and new developments of the game to the state coaches/referees/students regarding the game Yongmudo, so that the state based referees can held the championships at various District / state level and also get a chance to officiate at National championships. The chief examiner of the above mentioned seminar was Master Rohit Narkar who is also Founder & President of India Yongmudo Federation.

“It is the professional and elite course in which our aim was to aware and educate coaches and referees about the latest trends, techniques, rules, means and methods of the game, Yongmudo,” the jury said.

They further said that the participants having basic knowledge of officiating in the game were eligible for this course. The participants who attended this seminar told that such courses and seminars will prove fruitful for them in future.

“The course is useful and will update our knowledge and skills that we can exhibit during officiating.” they said.They further said that it was their long pending demand for conducting such course.

“We can enhance our precision to take decisions besides we will be able to give fair decisions as per the rule book of the game,” they said.

Aijaz Ali Ganie, Yongmudo Coach said that refresher course is a new venture and is expected to raise the standard of officiating. “The objective of conducting this seminar and refresher course was to upgrade the future referees with technical knowledge and acquaint them with recent developments, rules of the sports,” he said.

He further said that it was a big success and we apprised participants with advanced knowledge so that they can officiate professionally with much accuracy. Moreover, the participants had gone through theoretical and practical sessions besides appearing in a written test.

“After evaluating we can get a bunch of successful participants who can thereafter officiate the matches professionally,” Aijaz adds.

Mr Parvaiz Hussain Khan, Adil Hussain Khan,  Sajid Ali Khan, Dawood Irshad, Mohammad Shoiab, Numair Shabir participated in Referee seminar.
