Doda: District Development Commissioner, Dr Sagar D Doifode, Friday chaired a meeting to finalise arrangements for Shab-e-Qadar and Eid-ul-Fitr.
DDC took department wise review of arrangements being made in view of Shab-e-Qadar and Eid-Ul-Fitr.
He asked the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department to ensure availability of essential commodities including ration and LPG besides asking PDD and PHE to ensure uninterrupted electricity and drinking water supply during the festival days.
DDC directed the concerned to intensify market checking to keep check on profiteering, hoarding and overcharging by shopkeepers.
Emphasizing on the need for pre and post sanitation drives during festivals, Municipal Committee Doda was directed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in and around the Masjids and Eid Ghas, besides roads and streets leading to places where congregation prayers would be offered.
The meeting was attended by civil and police officers besides President MC Doda, President Beopar Mandal, President Fruits and Vegetables Association and other concerned district officers.
