Baramulla: A civilian was shot at and wounded by unidentified gunmen in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district on Tuesday evening, a police spokesman said here on Wednesday.
He said gunmen fired upon one Feroz Ahmad at Zaloora Bomai, Sopore, last night. The injured was rushed to hospital, he said.
Later security forces conducted search operation in the area but the gunmen had managed to escape.
This was the second incident in north Kashmir during the pat 24 hours. One Monday night gunmen shot dead a former militants in Handwara in Kupwara district.
