Jumat–ul –vida,   Shab –e–Qadr, Eid–ul–Fitr arrangements reviewed at Anantnag

Anantnag: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Anantnag, Khwaja Nazir Ahmad Monday chaired a meeting of the officers to review the arrangements made for observing Jummat – ul – Vida, Shab– e–Qadr and Eid– ul– Fitr in the district.

ACR Anantnag, all the SDMs, CMO, Executive Engineers of PDD & PHE, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, all Tehsildars, AD FCS & CA, ARTO, all the Executive Officers of Municipal Committees/Councils, AD Fisheries, Dy. SP Traffic and other concerned officers attended the meeting.

The availability of essential commodities including rice, atta, LPG and Kerosene, rates of eatables including the mutton, chicken and bakery, transport arrangements, traffic management, sanitation of Ziyarat Shareefs, Mosques, Eid Gahs, ambulance services, uninterrupted power and water supply and proper functioning of street lights were discussed threadbare in the meeting.

AD FCS&CA informed the meeting that against the monthly allocation of 46000 quintals of rice, 20000 quintals have been lifted up, besides a buffer stock of 6000 LPG cylinders has been made available.

The ADDC emphasized upon the SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure the strict compliance of the approved rates. He stressed upon the officers to conduct intensive market checking, ensure no profiteering is done and action is taken against the violators as per the law, besides ensure that the shopkeepers display rate lists across the district. He added Tehsildars and other concerned will keep a close vigil on the stock and supply position of rations and eatables, besides AD Fisheries was directed to establish sales outlets at designated spots on these days.

Executive Officers of concerned municipalities were instructed to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation around the centrally located mosques, Eid Gahs Ziyarat Shareefs and streets.

Likewise, PDD and PHE departments were instructed to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply during these days, besides ensure water tanker services in those areas where there is scarcity of water.
