Srinagar: The former chief ministers including National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti and former IAS bureaucrat-turned-politician Shah Faesal Thursday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the massive win in parliamentary elections.
Omar in a tweet said that Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah have put up a winning alliance for the 2019 Lok Sabha election and that the exit polls were right, stating that the exit polls were correct.
“So the exit polls were correct. All that’s left is to congratulate the BJP & NDA for a stellar performance. Credit where credit is due PM Modi Sahib & Mr Amit Shah put together a winning alliance & a very professional campaign. Bring on the next five years,” Omar tweeted. Meanwhile, Mehbooba also congratulated Modi for his historic win, stating that this was a time for Congress to get an Amit Shah.
“Congratulations to Narendra Modi ji for a historic mandate. Today surely belongs to BJP and its allies. Time for Congress to get an Amit Shah,” Mehbooba tweeted.

Srinagar: Senior National Conference leader and party’s victorious candidate from Anantnag parliamentary constituency Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi on Thursday said that his victory would be purposeful if he and his party National Conference do something for final resolution of Kashmir issue.
Talking to reporters Justice Masoodi said, “My victory will be purposeful if I and my party National Conference do something for the resolution of Kashmir issue. The protection of special status revolving around Article 370 and Article 35-A will be my and my party’s priority in coming years.”
