Not to pay heed to rumour, charge-sheet in 3-year-old rape case soon

Srinagar: Appealing people not to pay any heed to rumours, a police spokesman said that charge-sheet in 3-year-old rape case will be filed in the court against the accused soon.
He said the incident of assault on 3 year old child in sumbal is very much TRUE and based on FACTS.
Police will file the chargesheet in court against the arrested accused soon.
However, he warned that strict action will be taken against people spreading false and misleading information.
Massive protests were held across the Kashmir valley and Kargil and parts of Jammu against the rape and demanded capital punishment against the accused. A youth was killed when he was hit by a teargas shells fired by security forces to disperse demonstrators protesting against the rape incident in north Kashmir.
The District legal services authority had recommended paying a compensation of Rs 1 Lakh to the minor victim under the compensation scheme yesterday.
