Distt admin Rajouri discusses formulation of Traffic Management plan

Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, Friday convened an officers meeting to discuss formulation of traffic Management and decongestion plan.
The meeting was attended by SSP traffic ML Kaith, ADC Sher Singh, Executive Engineer PWD, DPO Dr Abdul Khabir, and officials from Municipal Committee.
The DC asked for initiating installation of delineators on Gujjar Mandi, ALG-Kheora-Darhali and other vital stretches of roads to regulate the traffic movement. Besides, he asked to issue notification for identifying No-Parking Zones and completion of yellow line in Gujjar Mandi. He directed the Executive Engineer PWD to complete macadamization of New Bus Stand, Old Bus Stand and Gujjar Mandi area at the earliest.
The DC asked the EO Municipality to launch a massive drive for removal of encroachments from Right-of-Way along these vital roads.
Meanwhile, DDC reviewed the status of blacktopping of new bus stand and alternate road to khoera. It was informed in the meeting that the work on blacktopping at new bus stand is in progress and is expected to be completed soon.
DDC asked the SSP traffic to depute the traffic personnel at critical points to check the traffic congestion.
