Udhampur: In view of holy month of Ramadan, a team of district administration conducted intensive market checking and fined several erring traders for different offences.
The team of officers headed by Tehsildar and comprising District Food Safety Officers, AC Legal Metrology, CEO Municipality, AD FCS & CA, Sr. Vetinary Doctor and Police Department conducted the market checking in the main markets of the town.
During the market checking, the team destroyed rotten meat and eatables and compounded Rs 26100 as fine from around 29 erring traders.
The team asked the defaulters to maintain hygienic condition and display rate list and other necessary documents at their establishments.
